Lasell Jaretzki Bartlett, MSW is a pioneer spirit whose work weaves together the roles of author, horsewoman, educator, somatic coach, and consultant. She began this path more than fifty years ago as a meditator on a spiritual quest for embodiment and nurturing relationships.

Lasell’s motto, “It’s our nature to get along,” reflects the curiosity, kindness, and creativity she brings to helping people cultivate self-awareness and experiences of safety. She blends the Eastern and Western principles that have shaped her values of connection and creativity.

Drawing from decades of professional experience (Clinical Social Worker, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, Body Awareness and Somatic Education Practitioner, Brainspotting®, and PATH Intl. Certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning), Lasell integrates nervous system awareness, experiential learning, and knowledge of our innate healing potential to people as they build resilience, regulation, and meaningful relationships. She works with those ready to shift from stuck patterns rooted in survival strategies into lives shaped by greater flow and connection with self and other.

Lasell has volunteered extensively assisting Somatic Experiencing® trainings throughout the United States and internationally, and EQUUSOMA® trainings. She is an approved personal session provider for both Somatic Experiencing® and EQUUSOMA® at all training levels.

While Lasell no longer offers psychotherapy services, her background is the foundation for the depth and perspective she brings to Somatic Transitions™, her coaching and consulting practice. She is excited to now offer the Havening Techniques® as a Certified Practitioner.

Lasell is the published author of award-winning Getting Along with Rusty: Horses, Healing, and Therapeutic Riding (Mostly a Memoir) plus the first two workbooks from her Cultivating Connections series: Becoming the Designated Calm Person™ and Sensing Our Groundedness. She lives in rural Virginia with two horses, four sheep, eleven guineas, two cats, a dog, and her best friend.
